Family Session Four Weeks Young - Welcome Elliot!

Manhattan Newborn Family Session

It was incredibly gloomy in LA when I got an email from this sweet little guys momma inquiring about a family session. (Not exactly what you hope for during cool weather in Brooklyn.) Grace wrote to me as if we were old friends who had lost touch, she was so excited for me to meet her two awesome guys, Elliot and Rob. Her email was so warm, funny and entertaining that I totally forgot about my one person raining pity-party. Her email opened with, "SHANNYCAKES!!!! "Both my family and childhood friends call me Shan and well.. I LOVE CAKE.  Basically, Grace had my heart and undivided attention at Shannycakes.  Yes, Please. I will have two slices, one for myself and one for my friend Grace. I know. Kinda weird. But so dang awesome at totally my style. Grace would have fit into my childhood circle of sincere and quirky friends for sure.

So naturally, I responded back as if I was indeed her long lost friend. "GRRRACCCCEEEEE!!!"A thread of entertaining and sweet emails transpired back and forth until I arrived at their door. I was really excited to meet Grace, Rob and Elliot. I even wore my brand new banana decorated t-shirt for the occasion. (Which they appreciated) Rob was indeed her awesome sidekick and the three of us spent the next hour together as if we had know each other all along making beautiful pictures.  Like most four week old babies, Elliot didn't have much to say but he watched, smiled and slept quite a bit. In my experience he raged pretty hard for a four week old newborn. The life of the party but not the "Frank the Tank" kind if you know what I mean.  I'd say he had a fun time as well. (and many more to come with such a great team by his side).  Xs
